Our Fashion Ins and Outs of Fall 2025
Out with the old and in with the new! Fall is right around the corner and it’s time to start finding the newest trends for this upcoming season. We’re excited to style new autumn outfits with boots, belts, and more. Here are a few of our predictions on the trends we’re ready to wear and the ones we’re ready to say goodbye to, and what you can expect to see this fall.
Out: Dr. Martens & In: Boots
I love my Dr. Martens and nothing will stop me from wearing them but classic boots are making a strong comeback this fall. We’ve seen various styles of boots throughout the year, like knee-high heeled boots paired with mini skirts and rain boots trending in the Fisherman Aesthetic, so it makes sense that they’ll be especially trendy in autumn. Style your boots with some jeans or a skirt and tights, paired with some thick high socks to add some texture.

Out: Chunky Sweaters & In: Ponchos
Chunky and cable knit sweaters were trending last fall, especially inspired by Rory Gilmore’s look, but now it’s time for a different piece of clothing that will keep you just as warm. Knit, crocheted, or wool ponchos are flattering, fun, and something new. Ponchos will give you that boho chic vibe we’ve seen all year as the season gets cooler. Layer yours with a long sleeve top, mini skirt, and some boots.

Out: Bows & In: Belts
Bows are still a cute hair accessory to add a girly, feminine touch to your outfit while belts add a bold statement. A simple brown or black belt will help complete any look and a statement belt with unique designs like studs, patterns, and chains will act as the focal point of your outfit. Style big chunky belts over the waistband of your jeans or skirt.

Out: Preppy Styles & In: Heritage Styles
Both styles give the same luxury old money aesthetic but are different in their own way. Preppy is polished, chic, and inspired by the Ivy League school vibe, while heritage is rooted in tradition, timeless structures, and craftsmanship. Think of heritage as the older sister of the prep look. On Instagram, @hannahlizzy_ explains that heritage includes tweed and wool pieces that are perfectly tailored to you, giving your fall outfits a richer look.
